I personally love that John the Apostle leaves it to the imagination of the reader to think of all the things that Christ did during His earthly ministry. Thousands upon thousands of individuals were impacted by Christ directly, not to mention the thousands upon thousands who were impacted indirectly. Truly, the Gospel accounts we have on earth are only a preface to the full Gospel account we will be receiving in Heaven.
And just imagine — if the world itself could not contain the books of all that Christ did in just three years, how much more do we have to look forward to in the eternal heavens where Christ will show forth His glorious grace for ages upon ages.
Church, here and now, we only taste the goodness of the Lord, but in the ages to come we will be feasting upon it! To think, that every ounce of joy you experience on this earth, if it were compounded and realized at once, would still only be looking through a mirror dimly of what lies ahead. (see 1 Corinthians 13:12). Just as Christ waited for His disciples on the shore of Galilee to eat with them, He waits for you on the eternal shores of the Almighty to partake with you and show you His glory.
In glory, we will not only open the volumes of untold stories and accounts of our Lord, but we will be writing new stories and accounts of all that Jesus continues to do. We often think of heaven as the finish line — but church, it is only the starting line!
There is still so much more that our Lord Jesus wants to do and show us, and I would imagine we will all have the pen of a ready writer (see Psalm 45:1) as we fill up heaven with books of His untold majesty and boundless splendor.
This will be the day that we shall see Him as He truly is!

The good news continues in the most profound way. Having already learned that we are declared right with God continually, we next learn that this great justification is free! We are being justified freely.

What an applicable word for us today. We’re always in such a hurry. Things to do. People to please. Tasks to check off. No doubt, this was how Saul felt. He and his servant had been on a frustrating hunt for his father’s donkeys.
