The Holy Spirit in the Bible is actually called "The Promise." This special name appears throughout the New Testament. But here's what's crazy... God had planned this gift thousands of years before, leaving clues in the Old Testament prophecies that most people completely miss. When Jesus left earth, he didn't abandon his followers. Instead, he sent the Holy Spirit to give them supernatural power. Regular fishermen and tax collectors suddenly became bold witnesses, speaking to thousands without fear. These everyday people started a movement that would eventually circle the globe. Jesus literally told them, "you'll receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you." And that's exactly what happened. But wait—this wasn't just some random spiritual upgrade. This was the fulfillment of ancient promises hidden throughout the Old Testament. Centuries before Jesus, the prophet Joel wrote about God pouring his Spirit on everyone—not just special religious leaders. He described a time when ordinary people would have prophetic visions and dreams. When the Spirit arrived at Pentecost, Peter immediately recognized it as the fulfillment of these ancient words. This wasn't a new plan—it was the culmination of God's promise threaded through history. And here's the mind-blowing part: this wasn't just a one-time event. The Promise of the Holy Spirit wasn't just a biblical prophecy—it became the heartbeat of the Christian church. For 2,000 years, this divine presence has transformed ordinary believers into extraordinary witnesses across generations. We will spend another study on the Day of Pentecost, but tonight we’re going to focus on this word *promise.* The early church saw the Holy Spirit as a fulfilled, literal promise of God, and a promise which is still available to us today. And we're going to see why this fulfilled promise changed everything, birthed the early church, and why the Holy Spirit can, will and should change everything for us today.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
